Have you ever wanted to explore an ancient cave system burined beneath a vast desert? Have you ever wanted to fight dangerous creatures like giant bats and spiders with your trusty whip? Have you ever wanted to discover the untold treasures of civilizations lost in time? If so, then Spelunky is the game for you!

Spelunky is a free pc game developed by almost entirely by one man, Derek Yu. It features a retro graphic style- a call back to the days of the NES.

It's gameplay is deceptively simple. As many great games are, it is easy to learn and tough to master. You move with ASWD, jump with spacebar, hold shift to run, switch items with K, and use them with J.

The game proceeds linearly in levels. You start with 4 hearts of health, 3 bombs, and 3 ropes. Throughout the game you can find verious shops and items that refill your suplies. You can also find treasure... lots and lots of treasure. This determines your score.

When you die (and you will die. Alot.) you return to the first level. However, there are shortcuts that can be purchased with in game treasure upon reaching later levels that alow you to start the game from those levels.
